Utilities gather a lot of data on EV charging—session data, system uptime, charge point utilization—to name a few. This information can help to inform program evaluation and improve systems over time. But what data is collected, how its gathered, to what purpose and at what cost is less straightforward than you might think. ATE’s latest issue brief explores the current state of EV charging data collection and considerations from our members on how data collection could be made more cost-effective and more valuable to utilities, regulators and EV service providers.
